Justin Unger's song "To Know You Love Me" was sent to radio stations all around the country this week.  This is the first Single release from the "TO KNOW YOU LOVE ME " cd project that released to the public in early 2009.  We believe that releasing this song will create a momentum for the upcoming release of Justin's Sophomore project in April 2010. The Story behind "TO KNOW YOU LOVE ME"
In 1997 I was fifteen years old.  I had been playing piano for about 5 years and loved to make up melodies in my head and then figure out how to play them on the piano.  Well in the summer of 1997 I completed my very first original song.  However at the time I had no idea how to write meaningful lyrics.  My grandfather Larry Wright and I had a very unique friendship.  We were more than just buddies.  He was the pastor of our home church and one of my closest friends and my spiritual mentor for many years.  One thing most people didn't know about my grandfather was that He was an amazing poet.  So as you might be guessing, The lyrics to my very first song were  written by my grandfather.  The song "To Know You Love Me"  was created that summer and has changed my life in so many ways.  Before my grandfather went to be with the Lord in 2001 He and I were song writing partners and wrote close to 30 songs together.  One thing my grandfather was truly passionate about was Gods living Word.  So all of his lyrics were always very Christ centered.  My main inspiration to put out the "To Know You Love Me" project came from the Legacy that my grandfather left behind even in this one song alone.  He touched so many lives and continues to impact lives for Christ through this music.



"To Know You Love Me" was taken from a few passages in scripture including Psalm 8:1-9.  It speaks of Gods greatness and how finite we are, but that He would choose to notice us and draw us to Himself leaves me speechless.  It is when I look at all of His creation that I catch a glimpse of His personal love for me.

BEHIND THE SONG "SOME GOOD ADVICE"

- In January 2010 as I was trying to wrap up the song selection for this new project, I really felt like something was missing.  I felt that this project needed a foundational theme to tie all the songs together. That is when my producer, Greg Bieck, and I decided to once again open up God's Word and see if the Lord would inspire something new!!  Sure enough we were directed to Proverbs 12. After reading through the passage a few times, I was comforted with the amazing thought that My Father would continue to sustain me and protect me as I hold fast to His Word. But, I need to continue to seek His voice and pay attention to His words...
