This week Justin traveled to Nashviille TN. to wrap up his "Sophomore Recording Project." It has been decided that the "First Phase" release of this project will be on memorial day weekend titled, "THIS IS FREEDOM" This portion of the project will include three songs that resemble a patriotic yet worshipful theme. It will include the title track "This Is Freedom" that was written around Veterans Day 2009. "Wonderful To Me" a worship song written in January of 2010, and "The Battle Hymn" which was written in the 1800's and now completely revamped by Justin and Greg for this new project.
CELEBRITY FIGHT NIGHT - Justin Unger will perform with David Foster and his band on Friday March 19th at the Founders dinner for the 16th Annual Celebrity Fight Night in Phoenix. This is an amazing opportuniy for Justin to share Gods word through song with hundreds of people that normally don't hear it! Justin Unger in concert with DAVID CROWDER next month in Flagstaff Arizona!! Monday April 12, LIVE at the Orpheum Theatre at 8pm, you will hear Justin with a full band as the special guest in an amazing night of worship with the David Crowder Band. Justin will be performing some great new music from the up-coming project as will as a couple of his hits in the past couple years. This week Justin will be in Nashville TN tracking vocals on his upcoming project due to release in mid Spring. This project produced by Greg Bieck will be somewhat different from his other projects in a few different ways. " It is much more diverse" Justin says as he describes the style of this new music. You will hear a few strong anthemic songs that might bring goosebumps, as well as some organic like acoustic driven songs. And of course there will be a nice balance of worship songs featured on this project as well. "My goal is that the whole project will bring you to a place of worship." “This Is Freedom” is a song that will also be featured on this project that speaks of the symbolism of our flag and connects to our Freedom in Christ.
Justin Unger will be leading worship this weekend at West Valley Bible Church in Surprise Arizona. He will be leading with the WVBC worship team! On January 5, 2010 Justin flew to Nashville TN. to begin pre-tracking on his next music project. He spent 1 full week there with producer Greg Bieck writing & selecting the ideal songs for this project. Justin and Greg also invited singer song writer Chris Roberts to join them for a few days of writing. It ended up being a very productive week. Justin is confident that this new project will make quite an impact in our culture todayas it is much different than any other music project he has been a part of. "I would like to take this project to a different place stylistically, different from what I have ever done..." Justin says.
Justin Unger's song "To Know You Love Me" was sent to radio stations all around the country this week. This is the first Single release from the "TO KNOW YOU LOVE ME " cd project that released to the public in early 2009. We believe that releasing this song will create a momentum for the upcoming release of Justin's Sophomore project in April 2010. - In January 2010 as I was trying to wrap up the song selection for this new project, I really felt like something was missing. I felt that this project needed a foundational theme to tie all the songs together. That is when my producer, Greg Bieck, and I decided to once again open up God's Word and see if the Lord would inspire something new!! Sure enough we were directed to Proverbs 12. After reading through the passage a few times, I was comforted with the amazing thought that My Father would continue to sustain me and protect me as I hold fast to His Word. But, I need to continue to seek His voice and pay attention to His words...
